How to make Keerai Usilli

Thandu Keerai Usilli, Healthy Brahmin Recipe, Uslli is a dry variety Curry, the base of the dhal mix can be altered with all kind of vegetables too.. i heard this recipe from my friend..
Already i shared a usilli recipe with beans.. after a long break i tried this keerai usilli, this is absolute perfect mach with sambar and puli kulambu.. Spinach had a rich content of iron, Dhal mix had a good amount of protein.. for feeding kids this is an easy method.. drizzle some ghee along with hot steamed rice and some Usilli.. Here you go with the recipe..

Ingredients

 

Thandu Keerai/Spinach 1 bunch
Thoor dhal 4 tsp
Moong Dhal 2 tsp
Channa Dhal 4 tsp
Red chilli 3-4 nos
Hing 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Onion 1/4 cup
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp

Method

Take all the Dhal and measure them, wash clean the Dhal

 Soak the Dhal along with Red chilli

Take the Keerai, wash and clean chop them finely..

After 2 hours, Grind the Dhal mix.. by adding little amount of water..  Grind coarsely to Vada Consistency

  Add in the Hing and Salt to the Dhal mix..

Set them Steamer, Put all the vada mix in the steamer and  steam this for 15 mins..

Bring this to room temperature, agin grind the Steamed Dhal mix in a mixer.. You can refrigerate this dhal mix for 7-10 days.

 Heat a pan with Oil, Temper with Mustard and Jeera.

Add in the Chopped onion..

Once the Onions are softly cooked, add in the chopped spinach to the Pan..

Allow the Spinach to cook for few mins.. once the completely done..

 Add few teaspoons of dhal mix, you can add the dhal mix to your preference.. Make them dry and serve with hot Steamed rice along with any kind of veg curry..
