Gooseberry Thokku/Nellikaai Thokku, form regular Gooseberry pickle this those is quite different in taste.. Indian Gooseberries are the best one to add in regular diet.. Very first time when i tried this thokku we are flat to this finger licking thokku..
Few months back, one of my Aunt shared this recipe in Fb, as she mentioned this is such a tasty one. Normally gooseberries are consumed as juice or pickles. This thokku is a different variation, spiciness tanginess of gooseberry blends to create a different taste here. Earlier I shared my Gooseberry Juice in my page, And this post is a delayed one, this long break makes me feel very bad and missed blogging. Hope this post will be useful, Eat healthy and stay fit.
Gooseberry Thokku/Nellikaai Thokku/நெல்லிக்காய் தொக்கு

Ingredients
Gooseberry/Nellikaai | 8-10 nos |
Coconut | 3 tsp |
Chillie Powder | 2 tsp |
Coriander Powder | 3tsp |
Turmeric Powder | 1/2 tsp |
Pearl Onion | 15 nos |
Hing/Perrungayam | 1/2 tsp |
Oil | 2-3 tsp |
Mustard | 1/2 tsp |
Curry Leaves | 1 spring |
Salt | to taste |

- You can use the steamed water in some curries.
- instead of steaming the gooseberry you can boil in water too, i skipped it and steamed the gooseberry for its nutritious value..
- Can refrigerate this for a week to 10 days..
